Saturday Craziness

Hiyas! Once again, I don't know why I keep doing it. I just might have to switch my main post of the week to Sunday if this keeps up. I tend to work all through Saturday finishing up things here and there and then I scramble to get all the pictures taken and edited for the post. Oh well! I would probably do much better if there wasn't so many livestreams on Saturday. Last week was an epic Mianite Purge livestream and this week, with everyone at PAX, we have the awesome League of Legends PAX Regional tournament going on.

If you are a fan of either, you have to check them out! The LoL tournament is going on through Monday, I believe and Mianite is everyday with the Purge on Saturday.

Finally! On to the minis!

Coming off of the WIP Wednesday, we have a ton of Infinity ALEPH guys. 4 Myrmidons, 2 Rebots, and an Asuras, an Ekdromoi, and a Deva Functionary. All standard paint scheme, but looking great! My favorite one out of all of these was probably the Asuras in the bottom left corner. That figure had a nice change in skin tone which allowed me to get away from the standard warm tone. 

All of the Infinity miniatures that I've been working on are pretty much done. Other than maybe a little more work on the bases if I feel I have the time to spend. Since these are all commission pieces and the time that I've had on these has been pretty flexible, I might be able to do some little touches here and there to bump them up a few notches. Looking over them, I'm seeing a few spots where I could increase the contrast a bit and maybe add some lighting bits to the bases. 

Other than those few things, I feel these turned out awesome! 

Next post will probably be a large shot of all the finished Knight Models, as I've finally gotten some nice pictures that I like of all of them. Also, some Warmachine Khador commissions and my own Cyriss stuff as well. More Infinity models to come next week and maybe a Maruts will show up...

More WIP Wednesday!

Once again it's time for WIP Wednesday! This week has been all about getting the Infinity figures done and so that's what the wip stuff is this week. I've got ALEPH Myrmidons and Rebots and they are coming along nicely. All of the Infinity figures have the standard paint scheme from the boxes.

First are some awesome Myrmidons! I have one of these guys finished as he was the test figure that I did for this army to see how the painting was going to go and what the steps would be to get them finished.

And these are Rebots! I love these little spider leg guys. They kind of give me the feeling of a Tachikoma which I like.

All these guys and more should show up on Saturday for the finished minis post for the week.

Minecraft Monday!

Starting this week, I should be able to post something on Mondays. I figured that instead of minis that I would make Monday into Minecraft Monday! So, for the first post I'm putting up some Minecraft skins for the Mianite Purge. I have posted a skin previously so this is that one and the two new ones that I came up with.

Here is the group shot of the 3 skins I've done, starting from the left is ProSyndicate, then OMGitsfirefoxx, and last is IIJERiiCHOII and below are the three skins themselves.

Saturday Scramble!

I almost wish that I didn't choose Saturdays to post my finished stuff for the week. When I first started this blog, not too long ago, it was fine. Saturday was my normal time to have stuff done from the week and everything was ready for Phantom of the Attic Sunday, but since the Purge started on Mianite I spend the afternoon watching that instead of getting stuff done. Stupid Twitch and it's crazy live streams. 

So for today, I finally got some great pics of my finished Infinity minis from WIP Wednesday this week. 

These turned out wonderful! I love how the colors look and the bases have this red earth look to them that's gorgeous. The two motorcycles in the center are a couple of the Haqqislam Kum Motorized Troops and the rest are some Haqqislam Hassassin Bahram. I've never played the game, but the minis are great!

WIP Wednesday the Second

Alright! So happy to get to another WIP Wednesday. Lots of working being done this week, mostly on Infinity figures and some initial work on some 40k Ork stuff.

First up we got some Hassassin Bahram from Infinity. Awesome figures and great sculpts, though a little fiddly to put together. One on the far right is finished, then the next over is almost, and last the other 4 just have their under painting done.

Next up, are some Kum Motorized Troops from Infinity again. The guy on the right is finished except for a coat of Dulcotte to get rid of some of the shiny and seal in the powder. The girl on the left just has the under painting like the ones above.

Finally, we have an objective marker for a 40k Ork army. We are having an epic battle soon and this guy is going to be a strategic map for our Orks!

I should have most of these done for Saturday so I will post them then. Till next time!

And now... For something Different

As well as miniature painting, I love art and painting just in general, whether it's digital painting, traditional art, or game art. I am also a fan of the Minecraft game and I am a dedicated viewer of the World of Mianite livestreams done by ProSyndicate, IIJerichoII, OMGitsfirefoxx, and Captain Sparklez. 

If you like Minecraft and aren't already watching, then you should. They stream everyday at noon pst on their twitch.tv channels and they have started an event every Saturday called the "Purge" based off of the movie. All killing and stealing in the game is legal and has no consequences. I was watching OMGitsfirefoxx's stream today and she asked the viewers to design a new Minecraft skin for her to use just for the purge and of course the first thing I did was open Photoshop.

I included a shot of her standard skin and multiple views of the one I made and then went crazy with the background, but I sent her the skin and so fingers crossed!

I've also been watching her and IIJerichoII stream League of Legends and have become inspired by that games artwork. So there might be some awesome character designs coming up here in the future!

Don't Stop Me Now!

Coming off of some major ProSyndicate 1 Million Twitch followers stream hype! It was an amazing stream and of course while watching it most of the day I was able to get tons of painting done. Little things here and there that needed to be fixed, like cleaning up bases and such. 

Finished the Convergence of Cyriss Corollary. I love this color scheme so much and I've got a nice big picture of all the painted Convergence that I have so far.

Let's get this started, Yeah!

Alright! This is hopefully going to start a nice habit of posting all of what I'm working on, no matter if it's miniatures, paintings, or even some game stuff. First post to the new blog and since it's Wednesday, we are going to do a WIP Wednesday for miniatures. I've currently got a ton of minis that I'm working on and while I've finished a bunch of them, I still have a lot to go. Most of these are pieces that I'm doing for other people, but when I get the time, or to keep from getting bored with something, I tend to throw my own stuff into the mix.

First is Bane from the Knight Models line. Great minis and wonderful to paint. This is almost done though it needs some nice highlights to finish it up.

Two more Knight Models, but this time we have some henchmen for the Penguin. Got some more painting to do before the washes and final highlights.

Next up is a small figure from Dreadball by Mantic Games. This is a trophy mini for the game and one of the last pieces that I need to work on from all the Dreadball minis that I received for a commission.

Getting closer to my own stuff, we got a Warhammer 40k Ork. In come the Bad Moon Orks. This guy is a test figure mainly to get the yellow right. We have a ton of Deffskulls sitting around and with the new Ork Codex and new models out, we decided it was time for some additions to our army. 

And finally something that is just for me. We have a Warmachine Convergence Corollary that I've only just done the initial stages of painting on. My Convergence are rather simple to start off, in that the base for the entire figure is all gold with a layer of Seraphina Sepia (GW) and a layer of Casandora Yellow (GW). There is of course way more to come, but for me it's a pretty easy way to start. 

And with that we have the end for today. Look for more this weekend as I'm going to try my best to stick to posting at least twice a week. Hopefully by then I'll have finished a few of these and have more ready for another WIP Wednesday for next week.
